There seems to be no stopping Scouting For Girls
these days, they are forever working their butts
off touring across the world and in the small amount
of time they have had off in-between shows they
have been busy working on new material for their
forthcoming third studio album and are now set to
release ‘Love How It hurts’ which is
the lead single from the album.
‘Love How It Hurts’, see’s
Scouting For Girls take on a more serious sound,
the song still features the signature Scouting
For Girls piano driven sound and melodic chorus
but this time around the song is not as poppy,
bouncy or fast as any of their previous material
and despite this the song is still very accessible
and enjoyable and after a couple of listens you
will easily full in love with the song. The video
for the song tells the story of the song well
with a nerd and bully having feelings for the
same girl with the bully winning the girl over
time and time again whilst the nerd constantly
gets hurt.
If ‘Love How It Hurts’ is anything
to go by then we could well be hearing a totally
different side of Scouting For Girls once album
number three is released and it could well have
the potential to pick up a whole new fan base
for the band.
5/5
