Here at Alternative Vision Japanese Voyeurs are
a bit of a marmite band, I started off not liking
the band but after each single release my opinion
on the band has improved and now I am quite digging
their sound, whilst Karlie and James have both
checked them out on the live scene and were left
disappointed by their live show, however the band
are back with their last single ‘Cry Baby’
before their finally release their debut album
‘Yolk’ on the 11th July.
‘Cry Baby’, is another progression
of sound for Japanese Voyeurs and is yet another
decent single release where Romily’s beautifully
catchy vocals really do catch your fall attention
from the start as they work well over the killer
guitar riffs and twangy bass lines, the chorus
is full on high paced and is bound to erupt some
madness in the pit at future Japanese Voyeurs
gigs.
I am now starting to have high hopes for ‘Yolk’
once it is released as it seems that talk about
the album has been going on for months and months
now so the band have had plenty of time to get
things right and with GGGarth Richardson doing
the production on the record then things should
be pretty much spot on.
