Starseed are a tasty little rock band who are
influenced by a wide variety of bands such as
Stone Temple Pilots, Soil, Stone Sour and many
others and they have recently released their new
single ‘See through Your Eyes’ which
is taken from their new album ‘Peace Machine’.
‘See Through Your Lies’ is a massive
guitar driven anthem that really does hit all
the right notes and kicks major arse from the
off, as the song progresses the instrumental work
gets better and better which hooky guitar riffs,
banging drums beats and not to forget big basslines
which leave you wanted to punch more than just
the air, the vocals from Russell Spence are beautiful
and soaring and really does help the song stand
out in a positive way.
Unlike most singles Starseed have included two
extra tracks here and the first one is ‘Love's
War’ the song starts with a banging drum
beat and progresses to be a really positive track
however the instrumental arrangements are random
throughout and from one second to the next you
really don’t know what you are going to
get but that is part of the whole Starseed magic.
The final track ‘Alone’ is a long
running track lasting just over 6minutes and it
proves to be the most melodic track out of the
three and yet again continues that whole Starseed
random routine where one minute things are at
a steady pace and then the next things are fully
stripped down.
Overall Starseed are a band worth watching out
for as this single clearly shows they have a lot
of potential in the rock scene and the fact they
have just played Download festival can only of
boosted their confidence.
