Fall Out Boy are back and ready to start 2007 in style with their brand
new single 'This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race' which is taken from the
bands forthcoming third studio album 'Infinity On High' which is released
in February
When I received 'This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race' through the door
I was quite excited that I was able to hear brand new Fall Out Boy material,
however, after I listened to the song for the first time I was pretty
dissapointed at how poppy it was and how it reminded me of many boy bands,
but the song is definitely a grower. After many more listens the song
has totally grown on me and I really like it. It’s a lot different
from any other material such as on the bands debut album, 'Take This To
Your Grave' and the bands second album 'From Under The Cork Tree'.
'This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race' sees the band move into a more
poppy direction with dance vibes and one of the best Choruses Fall Out
Boy have come out with as well as sounding pretty heavy but maintaining
the catchy pop sound, this is Fall Out Boy at there best and are catchier
than ever.
Its easy to see why people love Fall Out Boy or hate Fall Out Boy and
this song is not going to win the haters over but the fans are going to
love it and are probably already counting the days down to the release
of the bands forthcoming album which I can see being the soundtrack of
the summer.
5/5
