The Automatic have had a really successful year starting of with the release
of their debut single 'Recover' and their second single 'Raoul' which gained
the band some good recognition but it was the bands third single release
'Monster' which really did it for The Automatic and was one of the best
anthems of the summer with its pure catchy sing a long style. The song 'Monster'
was shortly followed by the bands debut album 'Not Accepted Everywhere'
which has given The Automatic the success that they deserve.
Since that success the band have re-released their debut single 'Recover'
and are starting off 2007 with a re-release of their second single 'Raoul'
which isn’t the best move, starting off a new year with yet another
re-released single. Luckily for the band most of their fans will treat
this as a brand new single release as they gained most of their fans after
the release of the third single 'Monster'. For the people who have been
fans from the start, there are some added bonuses to the single such as
the bands version of Kanye West's 'Gold Digger' and a Fatboy Slim remix
of Monster.
'Raoul' is a great tune but it’s just a shame the band have chosen
to re-release this when they have a whole album full of great songs they
could release as singles.
3.5/5
