The Ordinary Boys are signed to B-Unique records and have always been a
pretty average band who are influenced by bands such as Madness, The Clash
and The Smiths, bringing the band a mixed sound of indie and ska. The band
were pretty close to being dropped by their record label until Preston found
new fame from being in Celebrity Big Brother where he also met Chantelle
who soon became his wife. Since then, the band have released their third
studio album 'How To Get Everything You Ever Wanted In Ten Easy Steps' and
are about to release their second single from it, titled 'I Luv U'
'I Luv U' is a great ballad and is a song that is obviously about Chantelle,
the lyrics are honest and meaningful and Preston’s vocals are stunning,
the music is mellow with stripped down piano sounds, slow guitars and
whistles throughout.
This is the best song I have heard from the Ordinary Boys since the band
had a huge hit with 'Boys Will be Boys' a few years back. This shows that
the band can still write good tunes.
