Funeral For A Friend - SixteenFuneral For A Friend – Sixteen

Funeral For A Friend are back with their brand new studio album ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ and to coincide with the release they are also releasing their brand new single ‘Sixteen’ and it is bloody fantastic, anyone who felt that Funeral For A Friend were slipping away with their last couple of album releases will have their faith in the band reinstalled as soon as they here ‘Sixteen’.

‘Sixteen’ is a big sounding heavy guitar filled cracker of a song which has a massive catchy sing-a-long vibe about it, the song is bound to become a fan favourite in a matter of minutes after hearing it and I can already imagine the positive response to the song at the bands future live shows.

The b-side to the single is a demo of ‘Owls (Are Watching)’, with the full version of the song appearing on the new studio album, the song starts off sounding really downbeat and chilled out, then about 35seconds in the guitars charge up and Matt Davies let’s lose with his powerful vocals before the song reverts back to mellow territories moments later.

It is fair to see that Funeral For A Friend are back bigger and better than ever and I can really see them hitting the big time again like they did with the release of their first two albums.

5/5
