Toy Horses are a father and son duo from Wales who
are hoping to take the indie scene by storm, the
duo have already enjoyed success in America after
playing the legendary SXSW festival back in 2010
and after a lot of work writing and recording material
they are set to release their debut single ‘And
It Was You’ on the 21st February with their
debut self titled album following in April.
‘And It Was You’ is a beautiful sounding
indie track, it has a slight sleepy feel to it
but at the same time it features enough get up
and go to keep you listening, it is catchy but
not in a big sing-a-long way but more in a Coldplay
lets go with the flow kind of way, the vocals
are breathtaking and in generally everything is
just so well in place.
In recent times I have pretty much deserted the
indie scene as hardly any bands in the scene do
anything for me these days but Toy Horses are
a new band who brings fresh hope for the flagging
scene and I just hope that ‘And It Was You’
is the start of something special for these guys.
