Three Years Hiding are a young four piece band from Redditch, South Birmingham.
The band have spent most of 2006 touring around the UK playing their melodic
rock in so many different towns and venues gaining them a loyal fan base.
The band have just released their debut ep, 'Stories'
'Stories' is a well written and well produced ep. The vocals are strong
and clear and the choruses are pretty melodic. The ep starts off with
'Down Up Left A Right Down', which is musically a very good song and so
catchy you will find yourself humming along after a few listens. Songs
like this really show how talented these guys are especially having an
average age of just 18.
The title track to the ep 'Stories' is another pretty catchy song especially
in the chorus. 'Listen Learn Save Yourself' starts off with a slight change
in vocals as they seem more soft and mellow but build up to yet another
big catchy chorus.
'Untitled' finishes the ep off and has a twenty second intro before the
vocals come in, the guitars and bass are pretty mellow throughout, but
there is a good assault of drum beats.
The ep clocks in at about twenty minutes long in total and is a really
good ep but it feels like I have heard it all before in bands like The
Starting Line and The Ataris etc, which seems to be a common problem for
English bands sounding to much like there American idols.
