When Mojo Fury released ‘The Mann’
back towards the end of 2010 to great hype from
the press release which accomplished the single
I was instantly disappointed but now the band
are back and starting 2011 with the release of
their new single ‘Colour Of The Bear’.
‘Colour Of The Bear’ feels that Mojo
Fury have really gone back to the drawing board
and rethought about their sound as they come across
like a hard rocking band who have a slight influence
of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers running through
them, the baselines are big and bouncy, the riffs
also sound huge and fill up the majority of the
song whilst the vocals kick arse and have a slight
bit of attitude in place.
The b-side is an acoustic version of ‘The
Mann’ now this takes a lot of time to get
going and ends up sounding really drowsy and like
it is on the road to nowhere as to be honest it
does fail to get going and I feel that I have
been cheated out of 4minutes and 1second of my
life.
Overall Mojo Fury have really impressed me with
‘Colour Of The Bear’ which they deserve
maximum kudos for but then the acoustic version
of ‘The Mann’ is much worse than the
original version which I never liked in the first
place anyway, so I am still not fully sure on
these guys, but keep the singles coming and maybe
ditch the poor b-sides.
