Sunday Girl has just spent a lot of time on the
road supporting Ellie Goulding and making a good
name of herself whilst picking up a steady fan
base in the process, I happened to be at one of
the shows and was quite impressed with the overall
songs that Sunday Girl played as it was all fresh
sounding electronic pop music which is all the
rage these days.
I believe that 2011 is going to be a really important
year for Sunday Girl and she is starting the year
in style with the release of her debut single
‘Stop Hey’ which is being released
on major label Geffen on the 16th January.
‘Stop Hey’ is quite an infectious
electronic driven song that hits all the right
notes, the vocals from Sunday Girl are beautiful
and spot on and the general synths and electronic
work throughout the song work wonders, imagine
Kylie mixed with The Human League and you will
have a better understand of what ‘Stop Hey’
sounds like.
As a lead single I feel that ‘Stop Hey’
is the perfect tune and as soon as the radio stations
pick up on it I believe that it could easily head
towards the top of the chart, I imagine most of
you already know about Sunday Girl without realising
as front lady Jade Williams is also the face of
River Island.
