After seeing Avenged Sevenfold tear Hammersmith
Apollo a new one over the recent Halloween weekend
they have gone from being a band that I enjoy to
being one of my favourite bands at the moment they
have the perfect stage presence and big energetic
songs that you can’t help but love and go
nuts to and their latest album ‘Nightmare’
is so damn good.
Avenged Sevenfold have decided that the second
single to be taken from ‘Nightmare’
is ‘Welcome To The family’, a song
which happens to be a new fan favourite and also
happens to have a regular appearance in the bands
live show, the song flows at a really fast pace,
it sounds quite big and happy but at the same
time Synyster Gates and Mike Portney really do
show off with their guitar riffs and big drum
beats, M Shadows vocals are on top form with his
style changing throughout the song.
The single does feature an instrumental version
of the song which is the perfect listen for all
you air guitar nerds out there, it also helps
you appreciate Avenged fast paced instrumental
work in the best possible way.
Overall ‘Welcome To The family’ is
one of the main stand out tracks on the new album
and is a song which you can’t help but love.
5/5
