I remember reviewing the Broohaha EP back at the
start of the year and was totally mesmerized with
how random the EP was, it was enjoyable but nothing
groundbreaking that you would go and tell all your
mates about, well Broohaha have now decided that
they are going to release a Christmas single called
‘Broo Ho Ho’.
‘Broo Ho Ho’ is a single that runs
just under 3minutes and is a complete random mix
of music from start to finish, once again it is
quite listenable but it is not the kind of song
that you would want to listen to again and again,
the brass section of the band is fantastic in
places and actually adds to the Broohaha excitement
but the middle of the track tends to be a bit
wasted as it is full of a lot of starting and
stopping which reminds me of a low key band when
they are tuning up to play one of their first
ever pub gigs, but luckily the epic finish at
the end of the track just about makes up for this.
Overall like I said before Broohaha sound like
what I would imagine Tim Burton would create if
he created music as it is a big random enjoyable
mix but you have to be a fan of their work to
get full enjoyment out of it, give it a listen
and make your own mind up.
3/5
