The Jokers burst into the music scene back in 2009
when they released their debut album ‘The
Big Rock And Roll Show’ and now they are back
to release their brand new single ‘Jamie Jane’
which is due for release later in the year before
their support slot on the forthcoming Hawkwind tour.
‘Jamie Jane’ has classic rock written
all over it and in my opinion does sound ever
so slightly like a poor man’s Aerosmith
meets AC/DC in my opinion, however the more you
listen to the song the more it will grow on you,
the song features some proper classic sounding
guitar riffs, the vocals are loud and clear especially
during the sing-a-long chorus of “Jamie
Jane, Jamie Jane” whilst the backing vocals
of “Hey. Hey, hey” brings that old
skool rock feel even more to life.
Some people may find the The Jokers as one big
joke but they are a serious classic rock sounding
band and they do show off enjoyment within their
music and also bring fun to the stage, ‘Jamie
Jane’ is the first teaser from their forthcoming
second album which I am sure is going to be just
as entertaining as their debut.
