Everyone’s favourite animated band the Gorillaz
released their third studio album ‘Plastic
Beach’ back in March and since then they have
played some massive headline shows with included
a fantastic appearances at the recent 40th anniversary
of Glastonbury festival and now they are set to
release their new single ‘On Melancholy Hill’.
‘On Melancholy Hill’ features Damon
Albarn at his most comfortable and best with his
vocals swooping through the song in such a positive
way, the synths and constant beats featured throughout
the song also stand out in such a positive way
and take you on a extremely dreamy journey that
gives off a feeling like you have embarked on
the dream vacation of a life time, the lyrics
are also positive and the general feel of the
song is great.
So many people have been claiming that ‘Oh
Melancholy Hill’ is the best song featured
on the latest Gorillaz album and I have to agree
as there is something special about the song that
makes it stand out so much more than the rest
and also takes you on your own dreamy journey.
