Basshunter is the master of cheesy European poppy
dance music and in the past his songs have been
so over played that they drive me mad, seriously
if I had to listen to ‘now You’re Gone’
again I think that I would go insane, however I
have to say that when Basshunter did his stint in
Celebrity Big Brother at the start of the year I
found a lot of respect for the man and because of
this new found respect I am giving him another chance
musically now he is back with his comeback single
‘Saturday’.
‘Saturday’ is pretty much like classic
Basshunter material but sounding slightly more
polished and more grown up, the song is catchy
as hell and is bound to be a dance floor anthem
this summer, if you’re planning on a trip
abroad to destinations such as Ibiza, Magaluf,
Tenerife then you are guaranteed to be coming
home with ‘Saturday’ swirling around
your head at 100 miles per hour as previous Basshunter
material has dominated the abroad club scene and
‘Saturday’ is surly going to follow
in the footsteps of it.
The only downside that I can see with ‘Saturday’
is the fact that the song is irritatingly catchy
that I am sure like most Basshunter song’s
once it has been over played it will really start
to get on your nerves, also the single release
of the song features 7 remix versions and an instrumental
which really isn’t necessary but may please
some of you remix nerd.
I am sure ‘Saturday’ will please
the Basshunter fans until he gets his third album
released, but let’s hope it is released
sooner rather than later as I don’t what
the radio stations and TV stations to over play
‘Saturday’ and ruin yet another Basshunter
song for me.
4/5
