Every now and then you come across a new band that
stand out to you straight away and that seems to
be the case with Australian rockers Violent Soho
and their new single ‘Jesus stole My Girlfriend’.
If you like your rock music to have a bit of
a grunge tinge to it just like Nirvana, The Zico
chain and many other bands have over the years
then you will love ‘Jesus Stole My Girlfriend’
as the guitars have been turned up a few notches
and have a real dirty sound that blasts out of
the speakers at a frantic pace, the drumming is
constant and pretty outstanding and the vocals
are dirty gritty vocals that have a slight melodic
edge to them.
Violent Soho may well be a new band on the scene
in the UK but I am sure that we will be hearing
a lot more from these guys in the near future,
especially if they have more quality songs up
their sleeves like ‘Jesus Stole My Girlfriend’.
4/5
