Fellow Alternative Vision reviewer Ben Connell has
been raving about This City for some time now, and
now I understand why he thinks so highly of This
City after listening to their new single ‘Black
And Blue’ which is due for release on the
19th April.
‘Black And Blue’ is an real up tempo
song which features really spiky vocals which
come at you from all directions, the song has
radio friendly written all over it and you should
start to expect to be hearing the song constantly
on the radio in the near future, the style of
the song is a lot different from what most bands
are doing these days and a lot different from
what bands have done in the past, the best way
to describe the sound of This City is a more radio
friendly version of At The Drive In, as it is
big, fun, melodic and every so unpredictable.
Without a doubt This City are going to rise to
be superstars as they are doing their own thing
and are forever supporting bands which sound nothing
like them musically which is helping them to reach
out to a wide range of people.
4/5
