Enter Shikari are a band who like hard work, they
are either forever creating new music or forever
on tour, even between album releases they somehow
manage to find time to write and record remix albums
or just bonus tracks, well this time they are releasing
an album called ‘Tribalism’ which happens
to be an companion to their ‘Common Dread’
album, and it features new material, remixes, b-sides,
live tracks and much more, we will have a review
for that soon but in the mean time here is a review
for ‘Thumper’ the first complete new
track from the album.
‘Thumper’ doesn’t waste any
time at all getting to business, it starts off
with big catchy dance beats and Rou Reynolds coming
in with scream vocals of “oi, oi”
before the song heads off on a big old space age
sounding melodic journey of fun and passion, the
song is one of the best Enter Shikari songs I
have heard so far and it’s proof that there
is still a lot of steam left in the Enter Shikari
song making machine.
Give it a few months and you can guarantee that
‘Thumper’ will become a fan favourite
at Enter Shikari shows across the world.
5/5
