Knievel Genius are a 4-piece band from London, they
describe their sound as “Dynamic Riff-Rock”
and if their new single ‘Down With The Fairies’
is anything to go by then I will have to agree with
their self described sound.
‘Down With The Fairies’ is due for
release on the 22nd March, yeah it does seem like
a long time away but I am sure it will come along
fast enough, the song is a fast and furious riff
driven song which is full of extremely fast and
catchy vocals, you will find yourself rocking
your body to the song in a way that you just want
to bounce off your walls whilst taking in every
second of these guys talent.
The b-side ‘Houdini pt 1’ opens with
thunderous drum beats and chunky guitar riffs
and just as you think the song is about to explode
into mayhem, everything takes a nose dive and
becomes toned down, the song shows a totally different
side of the band a side which is alright but not
a side I would like to hear much more of.
If Knievel Genius can keep to the sound featured
in ‘Down With The Fairies’ then they
could be on to a winner.
4/5
