Twin Atlantic were one of my favourite new bands
of 2009, they hit the scene with stunning track
after stunning track and then followed the single
releases up with an outstanding debut mini album
called ‘Vivarium’ and now they are bursting
into 2010 with their own headline tour as well as
support slots with Enter Shikari and a brand new
single release for ‘Lightspeed’.
Ok saying ‘Lightspeed’ is a brand
new single release is a big lie as the song was
one of the first singles they released back in
2009 and it was also the song that really got
me into Twin Atlantic and I still feel exactly
the same about the song now as I did when it was
first released, the song is fantastic and my opinion
on that will never change, the only think that
put’s me off about it this time around is
the fact that it is a re-release as I am not a
fan of band’s re-releasing material but
I can totally understand why they are doing so
as with such a big tour coming up and ‘Lightspeed’
being their best song and many people maybe missing
it the first time around, now is the chance for
the song to appeal to a whole new fan base, cleaver
stuff if you ask me.
I love ‘Lightspeed’ always have and
always will so the rating stays the same.
5/5
