No tame intricate licks to tease and draw you in.
No. “Another Self
Portrait” is a mashup of screeching guitars
and smashing drums. Wham
blam thank you mam. Strangely, the guitar tends
to spend a lot of time
in 'solo-mode' as it soars above the rest of the
music – and 'the rest'
is a strange box of quiet spoken vocals, the very
occasional rawr, and,
“Plugged In” is a demo song, it's
raw and trashy, very Blitzkrieg Bop
without the catchy chorus. Which I suppose renders
it an average
emalgamation of loud sounds.
Finally, “Vacuum Girls” is another
demo. And reminds me of a band called
Mybe. They had an EP with some trashy songs on
and then a slower one
like this. Well, maybe not this slow, but I guess
it's the done thing
with bands like this. It's alright, more bearable
than the first two
tracks which are just RA RA RA for the sake of
it, but still, all in all
it sounds like the kind of thing you'd hear at
a college battle of the
bands.
