I haven’t heard much from The Filthy Dukes
since I reviewed their dance floor filler ‘Messages’
the song totally blew me away and left me having
high praise for the band, they are now releasing
their new single ‘Nonsense In The Dark’
which also happens to be the title of their debut
album.
‘Nonsense In The Dark’ features Orlando
Weeks from The Maccabees on vocals and is so damn
different from the previous song ‘Messages’,
gone is the upbeat sound of an dance floor anthem
and this has been replaced with a set of repetitive
electronic sounds with Orlando’s unique
yet dark vocals running over the top.
Overall ‘Nonsense In The Dark’ is
a fantastic song yet it might take a few listens
for you to really start enjoying it.
4/5
