‘Taking Control’ is the new single from
the outstanding Alberta Cross, the band have been
making an positive impact on myself ever since I
first heard their ‘The Thief And The Heartbreaker’
EP a good 18 months ago and since then they have
been very busy touring including some massive arena
shows supporting the Brit pop wonders that were
Oasis, they also released ‘ATX’ a few
months back which happens to be the first single
to be taking from their debut album and they are
now releasing the second single ‘Taking control’
on the 23rd November which is just after their current
short headline tour finishes.
Yet again I still can’t find a bad thing
to say about Alberta Cross as ‘Taking Control’
is a fantastic single and the best song that they
have released so far it is so catchy and features
some killer backing vocals of “Woooooo-oooooh!”,
yeah it doesn’t sound that exciting in words
but trust me when you hear it you will be excited,
the dual guitar riffs are super charged and so
much better than what any indie band have to offer
these days, infact ‘Taking Control’
is the best indie song I have heard in a long
time.
seriously with song’s as good as Alberta
Cross are creating these days you just know they
are going to have an healthy career and you can
easily bet your house that they will be playing
stadium shows again in the near future and quite
possible headline shows rather than the support
slots of recent times.
