Alice And Chains returned earlier this year better
than ever, they released their brand new album ‘Black
Gives Way To Blue’ an album which hit the
top 5 of the American Billboard album charts and
also hit the top 20 of the UK album charts, the
band are also currently on tour in the UK embarking
on their first UK tour in some time and to coincide
with that they are releasing their new single ‘Your
Decision’.
‘Your Decision’ is Alice In Chains
take on doing a ballad, the song may be stripped
down compared to the first single to be released
from the album but it still packs an almighty
punch, the start of the song will see floods of
fans waving their mobile phones and lighters in
the air at the bands live shows, but as the song
progresses things pick up with some solid guitar
riffs, William Duval does well on the vocal front
throughout the song and manages to keep the same
slow pace from start to finish.
So far in 2009 Alice In Chains have released
two very different sounding singles and both shine
in their own special way, ‘Your Decision’
may well be a ballad but it is a powerful ballad
that you won’t forget in a hurry.
4/5
