Eliza Doolittle is pretty much just starting off
in the music scene, but it seems to me that she
is going to follow in the footstep of other solo
female artists such as Lily Allen, Katy Perry, Kate
Nash, Pixie Lott etc even though her music is so
different from any of these artists, Eliza Doolittle
has been signed up by Parlophone Records who are
due to release herself titled debut EP on the 30th
November.
What makes Eliza Doolittle stand out from the
current crop of female solo artists is her distinctive
vocals, she has a voice that is so big, bold and
beautiful sounding and she creates big sounding
pop songs which have many twists and turns and
bright moments that could brighten up your day
no matter what the weather is like or who has
tried to ruin your day.
The EP opens up with ‘Rollderblades’,
the track is the perfect introduction to Eliza
Doolittle as it is full of bounce and Eliza sings
her way through the song in such a catchy manner,
as mentioned above her vocals come across in such
an uplifting and beautiful way, infact you will
fall in love with her vocals so much that you
will find yourself trying to sing along in Eliza’s
style but failing every time.
‘Money Box’ is my favourite song
on the EP, the song features such charm, it is
so happy go lucky sounding, the lyrics throughout
the song are quite intelligent and witty sounding
with Eliza singing “Do me a favour, don’t
jingle your chain sir” and also “So
take your dollar, your yen, those euro’s
I can’t spend; I can’t get down with
no pounds.”.
The more you listen to the EP the more you will
fall in love with it and the more you will wish
that the EP is longer, you will find yourself
listening to the EP on repeat just to get a true
dose of the sounds of Eliza Doolittle and you
will also help Eliza Doolittle become the next
female solo artist superstar which she is destined
to be in 2010.
