I used to love rap music and the whole rap scene
especially in the late 1990’s there was so
much going for the whole scene but over the past
few years the scene has been pretty rubbish with
people like Kanye West, 50 Cent, Jay Z, Akon and
really rubbish artists like that bringing the scene
down and now we have Foreign Beggars to add to the
list, I think Rob summed up everything about Foreign
Beggars when he reviewed their last single ‘Contact’,
but now it is my time to review their new single
‘Seven Figure Swagger’.
In all honesty ‘Seven Figure Swagger’
is the worst song that I have heard all year long;
to me it is just a load of irrelevant noise that
actually gets on my nerves, I can’t stand
the rap style vocals from any of the band members
and the beat that runs throughout the song also
grates with me, and this isn’t because I
don’t like rap as I have always loved rap
especially bands like Cypress Hill, Onyx, Bone
Thugs N Harmony, Dr Dre etc, but these guys are
not a patch on any of the named artists.
Even the b-sides and remixes do nothing at all
to make these guys sound interesting, seriously
who wants to hear someone rapping about cheese
and double cheese? I for sure don’t and
won’t be listening to Foreign Beggars again
if I can help it.
