This single is pretty good. It could be better,
but it's pretty good. To
me, it's The Music meets Oasis. It is essentially,
very The Music, but
the electronic beats and such have been replaced
with a much more Oasis
take on things. And no I don't mean the band split
up – it's very much a
rock orientated record.
It requires a good few listens, just to get your
head around completely.
Is it really good, or is it a bit too pub band?
I'm going for the first.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I hope I'm not. From what
I'm hearing, although the
music is a little predictable and has all the
elements of an amateur
generic song, it's very well done and, the vocals
in particular, are
really successful.
I would, like it to be slightly more upbeat,
and heading towards
indie-dance vibes, but that's not what these guys
are about. Which is a
shame, because I think the song would really suit
it. Then again, that
would make them even more like The Music, in which
case, you might as
well go and listen to The Music.
4.5/5
